Malibu Surfing Association Classic

Location: > > > MSA Classic

The Malibu Surfing Association's annual surfing contest has a rich history, including: the formation of the venerable Windansea Surf Club to surf at Malibu (1962), the first local broadcast of a surfing event (1964), and Miki Dora's in-water fight with Johnny Fain (1967). More recently, the MSA Classic has become one of seven, top-tier contests hosted by California surfing clubs comprising the Coalition of Surfing Clubs (CSC) annual circuit.

Proceeds from the MSA Classic and other fundraising activities help the Malibu Surfing Association make annual contributions to organizations such as: Heal the Bay, The Surfrider Foundtion, The Groundswell Society, and The Malibu Legacy Park Project.
